Looking for a great spring basic that you could wear pretty much anywhere? Look no further than the striped blazer — and I found the most perfect style for under $70. I’ve been on a blazer kick since the fall, and got a ton of use out of two plaid blazers that I invested in early on in the season last year. I wanted a few lighter-weight blazers and had been on the hunt for a striped blazer for a few weeks. I actually stumbled across this one and ended up going into my local Nordstrom to try it on in person since it was available in the store. As I was walking through the store, I spotted the style I’m wearing here instead and immediately put the first one back — it wasn’t even a question! Not only was it less expensive (by about half), I loved every detail of this one! From the cinched sleeves (it gives a much more relaxed/effortless look), the light linen material, to the pocket detailing and one-button closure. Plus, you can’t beat the price! I know I’ll get a ton of use out of it this season! I’m sharing some easy ways I’ll be styling this piece for the rest of the season and into summer below!
STRIPED BLAZER STYLING TIPS
Go basic. For a uniform outfit, pair a simple white tee (or button down if you’re heading to the office) under this blazer for an effortless casual Friday look. I took my favorite skinny jeans and paired them with a pop of color with these fun pink pumps. This outfit would totally work with any pair of neutral pumps too — like this nude pair or this white style. I’m also planning to layer a lace cami underneath and a pair of black strappy sandals for an easy date night look this summer!
Mix it up. I’m SUCH a fan of mixed prints — it totally used to be my jam back in the day and can look SO stylish if done correctly. My favorite prints to mix are stripes and florals. I’m planning to style this blazer over this floral maxi dress and think it would also look gorgeous over this fun floral mini dress!
Keep it casual. I love how versatile this piece can be. I tried it on with my new favorite denim shorts and my platform espadrille sneakers and loved how it instantly dressed up even the most relaxed pieces!
