Believe it or not, the holidays are just around the corner. Doesn’t it feel like it was just summer? Our Connecticut town is already decorated and even the trees are up, serving as a gentle reminder to get your little behind prepared before all those holiday-party invites start rolling in! Although the Little Black Dress is a closet staple, I find myself reaching for them more between November and December! I’m excited to be teaming up with Macy’s over the next two months to bring you lots of holiday style inspiration! First up? We’re tackling the classic Little Black Dress and showing you two ways to wear it!
If you’re looking for the perfect LBD to get you through all the upcoming events over the holiday season, Macy’s has got you covered! Since the Little Black Dress is something you’ll want to keep for years, I’d say take the plunge and invest in one that you know will last, is a timeless style and fits you like a glove! And while I’m not normally one to splurge on pieces of clothing very often (bags and shoes are another story, friends), the Little Black Dress is always the exception to my rule: I like to think of it as cost per wear. This Vince Camuto feather dress has it all for me: a classic silhouette that fits comfortably, a little glitz with the embellished collar and a touch of boho with the feather drop waist. I love that you can take a Little Black Dress and really create a variety of outfits with one piece. To show off its versatility, I styled this dress two ways: Classic and Edgy.
CLASSIC // Dress: Vince Camuto c/o
Heels: Stuart Weitzman || Bag: Chanel (similar)
EDGY // Dress: Vince Camuto c/o
similar Leather Jacket || Heels: Schutz (on major sale!)
For the first look, I let the dress do the talking and pulled out some of my classic pieces, including a pair of black patent pointy pumps and a quilted shoulder bag. There is nothing more timeless than those two accessories, and they instantly make any outfit look dressy and chic. For my second look, I wanted to take this LBD to the next level. Adding a leather jacket, black tights, and cutout booties instantly gives it some edge.
Make sure to check out Macy’s full line of Little Black Dresses, including some of my other favorites: this Adrianna Papell embellished number has NYE written all over it and this Calvin Klein sheath dress adds the lace-up trend to this classic dress!
